POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: The Oklahoma Biological Survey is seeking qualified candidates to engage in plant inventories and provide curatorial assistance with plant collections. Responsibilities include active participation in field surveys, collection and preparation of herbarium specimens, preparing project reports, assisting with maintenance of herbarium facilities and collections, and public and agency outreach. Requirements: Masters of Science degree or equivalent in botany or related field, knowledge of the flora of Oklahoma or an associated region, curatorial experience, familiarity with word processing and database management preferred. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Start date is July 1, 2000. Application review begins June 1, 2000, and will continue until a suitable candidate has been selected.
