POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Located on 385-acres, the Garden boasts more than 1.5 million plants representing over 8,000 species and provides a multitude of unique settings for the opportunity to understand gardening, horticulture, botany and conservation of natural resources by way of its plant collections, education and research programs.
We seek a person with excellent verbal and written skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a thorough understanding of tree and shrub identification and culture. An appreciation for the education, conservation and research mission of the Garden is essential. This person should have a master's degree in horticulture, botany, biology and/or a related field. The ability to work well with a diverse group of professionals is necessary. Experience in teaching, leading and organizing seminars and project management is preferred. Credentials in appropriate professional organizations are desirable. The curator reports directly to the Director of Plant Collections.
