POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: With the recent acquisition of 148 contiguous acres of land in East Naples, the Naples Botanical Garden is expected to become one of the finest collections of subtropical and tropical plants in the world. It will provide an extensive program of exhibits, education, conservation and research that communicate the enjoyment and beauty of these plants. The development of the Garden has just begun and the Board of Directors has made significant progress toward their 5-year, $27 million fundraising campaign.
We seek a proven leader and manager whose background in directing significant new projects or new enterprises in the field of conservation has been successfully accomplished. This person must be able to articulate the vision as well as oversee the multitude of activities that will be required to build a world-class garden. Working closely with the Board, particularly in fundraising, is a major part of the responsibilities of the Director on a day-to-day basis. A strong administration background and business acumen is essential.
